Auto-Editor Is Now Online

Auto-Editor now runs in your browser. Head to app.auto-editor.com/online, drop in a video, and start cutting silence — no install, no sign-up, nothing to download.

It runs on your device

The online editor isn't a service that uploads your footage to a server somewhere. The entire auto-editor engine is compiled to WebAssembly (wasm64) and runs locally inside your browser tab. Your media never leaves your computer, which means it's just as private as the desktop app, and there's no upload wait before you can get to work.

This is the same Nim codebase that powers the desktop version. Keeping one engine and targeting both native and the web means a change to auto-editor shows up in both places at once.

Browser support

The online editor works on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. It leans on some fairly modern browser features to run the engine at full speed, so an up-to-date browser is your best bet.

The "light" version

The browser build is meant to get you editing in seconds, so a few of the heavier features are reserved for the desktop app or for paid-users:

Everything else — cutting silence, exporting to a media file, showing subtitle text on the timeline, and concatenating multiple files — works right in the browser.

Try it

If you've been meaning to give auto-editor a shot but didn't want to install anything, this is the easiest way in. Open the online editor, and if you want the full feature set, grab the desktop app.
